Andrew Munsell, the founder of WizardApps, is an honors high school sophomore whose interest in technology dates back to his early years in junior high school, when he first began programming calculators.

With the vision that calculators were more than number crunchers, Andrew transformed the perception of calculators around his school from “numbers tool” to “gaming cool,” as classmates began to realize that their calculators were actually portable gaming machines that teachers had to allow in class. Seeing the interest he created, Andrew started the TI Wizard website, where today, kids from all over the world visit to download the newest and coolest calculator games. Andrew was recently interviewed by the Wall St. Journal for his work on TI Wizard.

From this humble beginning, Andrew’s interest and knack for technology skyrocketed. Self-taught, Andrew has mastered a number of complex programming languages, including PHP, Javascript, and C++. Most recently, Palm’s nifty, new, cell device, the Palm Pre, caught Andrew’s eye and hasn’t been out of hand ever since. Andrew now develops applications exclusively for his favorite gadget, the Palm Pre!
